About the presenter
Proud Montana native, Susan Howlett has been raising money joyfully for over 35 years, as a Board member, Development Director, Executive Director, and for the last 20 years, as a consultant to over 1000 nonprofits. She is core faculty in a year-long program on fundraising at the University of Washington, where she earned their Award for Teaching Excellence in 2004, and she founded the Nonprofit Management Program at a major community college, where she has taught for 20 years. Co-author of “Getting Funded,” the grantwriting text most used in the country, Susan also led the largest group of grantseeking professionals in the country for ten years. She speaks, trains and consults nationally, known for her engaging style, her interactive sessions, and her liberal use of stories, laughter and chocolate.
