The Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Flathead County is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator. The position involves a knowledge of community service development, volunteer management and project coordination.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with individuals 55 and better. Effective use of work-time while managing multiple priorities. Proficient use of a computer with working knowledge of MS Office programs. Flexible schedule to accommodate some evening and weekend job functions. The preferred knowledge, skills and abilities described above are typically acquired through the completion of a relevant Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience AND/OR completion of training programs in volunteer management OR a suitable combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
DUTIES: Coordinate the recruitment and placement of retired persons age 55 and better with nonprofit community agencies in Flathead County. Responsible for recruiting, enrolling and placing volunteers to meet conditions established through federal and local grants. Assist in organizing and coordinating recognition events, fundraising projects and National Days of Service.
HOURS/DAYS: Part Time Permanent
WAGES: $13.18 per hour
